Meet the members of the Society’s Board of Trustees.

BOT Chairman

Mr. Muhammad Bello Aliyu

Hails from Sokoto State. B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science (Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi) and a doctoral student at Kebbi State University of Science & Technology. Registrar and CEO of the Computer Professionals (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN), with past roles at NERDC, the Nigeria Computer Society NEC and two terms on the CPN Council.

BOT Vice-chairman

Oluwatobi Noah Akande (PhD, MCPN, MNCS)

Associate Professor of Computer Science specialising in AI, data and information security and biomedical image analysis. Leads the AI and Data Science component of the World Bank-sponsored IDEAS Skills Acquisition Training. IBM and Google certified data analyst and NITDA certified data professional.

BOT Secretary

Amina Fadila Shehu (MNCS, MCPN)

Cyber Security Analyst at Cybersploit NG Ltd and consultant at Critical Skills Consultancy Services. Holds a Master’s in Cybersecurity, Threat Intelligence and Forensics (Distinction) from the University of Salford, and has taught Power BI data analysis at Baze University for over 8 years.

Akande Hakeem Babalola (PhD, MNCS, MCPN, CISP)

Group Head of IT at KAM Holding and Lecturer in Telecommunication Science at the University of Ilorin. His research applies AI to fraud detection, optimisation and sentiment analysis; certified by IBM and Cisco.

Mr Etido Ekwere

Over ten years in business development, data analytics, consulting and project management, with training delivered in 17 nations across five continents. MBA from Durham University; PMI-certified project manager; Tableau Featured Author (2021) and Tableau Public Ambassador (2022).

Asmau Usman (PhD, MNCS)

Scholar and technology professional with over 19 years in academia and research across software engineering, data analysis and AI. Advocates for digital skills in data analytics and business intelligence in Nigeria and across Africa.

Ujah-Ogbuagu Chinalu Bridget (PhD, MCPN)

Over 15 years in industry and academia across AI, machine learning, data analytics, databases and cybersecurity. Senior Research Fellow at the National Defence College, Nigeria; PhD in Computer Science, University of Ilorin (2023).
